Stay Hungry + Catalyst

As we are celebrating three years as a band, we are very happy to announce our future partnership with no less than Catalyst Records, a label that has had a clear straight edge profile for almost twenty years and worked with a long list of cool bands, such as our friends in Anchor. It also means that we will take part in the label's current drive with European edge bands, such as Unveil and Wolf X Down. Needless to say, being offered a release on a label with both an honorable history and strong present day momentum means a lot to us. It will be very inspiring to start working on material for an EP, set for a 2012 release.

"Still hardcore,
still straight edge,
still giving a fuck."

We have unleashed the fuckin' fury!

Appreciation

To Risk It and the Dresden crew.
To Pavel and everyone involved in Prague.
To the distinguished Fluff crew, and to Tomas’s forgiving patience.
To Jens, Jaan, Fille and Omar.
To Anchor, No Omega, Hårda Tider, Beyond Pink, Victims and Death Is Not Glamorous.
To all the kids who defied the mud, and to Michal The Wonder Years  for catching our flying bass player.
To all our friends from Poland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Argentina, Norway, the UK, Switzerland, Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Russia, Belgium, the US (yo Finland, Denmark, Holland and Portugal, we missed you!).

We spend half a life on these loose ends and think we have experienced most of what carries worth when it comes to energy bouncing between four walls, a floor and a roof; we believe that we know all about sweat blending from bodies on the verge of boiling over; we assume that we are aware of what passion can be transferred from eye to eye when the song starts.

Then we play a show like the one on Prague last Thursday, and it dawns on everyone that we are actually pretty clueless.  And we leave such a show, through a local storm of hugs, smiles and high expectations, re-affirming each other that yes, if there ever is a standard to be set for how a hardcore show should be, this must surely have been it.

And we roll into the Fluff camping site and pinch our arms so we can be sure that we won’t miss out on what’s going to happen right now, so we won’t flinch and find that it passed us by. As we hug Martijn and Angelo at the entrance, we know that this is somehow a home away from home for us.

We have our hearts in small venues and fifteen minute sets that leave PA-systems gasping for mercy, where we wait for the touring band to arrive in a mal-functioning van (and where we are grateful for sometimes being that band), where we hope that someone will sing along, buy a fanzine, meet for the first time and decide to start that band that we can stagedive to a few months later. We all share that. We have devoted parts of our lives and bodies to “breakdowns, fast snare beats, good lyrics, and intricate simplicity”. And the combination of these ingredients sets us off like a god damn neutron bomb.

“To those who paved the way, who still remain, we are one – from the same strain”.

See you soon!

Give respect, get it back

After sixteen shows in ten countries, we arrived home safely yesterday. Our third European tour, the first with Johan in the band, can’t be seen as anything less than a fantastic experience for all of us. Along the sometimes endless highways, and in the cities’ dirty backstreets, we have met the kindest and most dedicated people that have all conquered safe places in our hearts. We will carry the impressions from this journey with us for as long as we live. More than seeing incredible sights, more than getting to play songs we enjoy, more than selling some shirts after the gig; what truly manifested itself this time was that if you try as best as you can to give respect, sometimes you receive twice as much back. From the get go, we have considered it a privilege to be able to do this at all. We are thankful for any small gesture from anyone anywhere to help us out. The response we have received during the latest two plus weeks has been close to overwhelming.

To all the lovely friends that moshed, to everyone that talked to us, to the great friends we re-visited or met for the first time, to the sweet bands we got to share stages and venue floors with, to the kind people who fed us and provided floors and roofs, to all the straight edge kids, to Spook, Refuse, Cobra, to the almighty Ratel Crew, to Daniel, Björn, Christoph, our H8000 guardians, Francois, Alexis, Remy, Wilo, Nab, Gabi, Simone, Stefan, Pavel, Andris, Carpath Bears, Pawel, Maciek, Kasia, Marek, Mario and everyone else involved in making this dream possible for us:

We love you, and we’ll see you at Fluff Fest.
